Find your own personal pedal RPM that produces the most watts at the lowest effort level. This test helps you find the “gear” that you are most efficient pedaling at on your road or mountain bike. (Note: optimal pedal RPM will vary depending on power output.) (This is a Submax test)
We do not test to find your Threshold Heart Rate, but if you already have determined your Threshold Heart Rate, we can measure the power you produce at that Heart Rate with a protocol that has advantages over “field testing.”
Maximum average power you can produce on the bike for and extended period (30 to 60 minutes.) FTP is becoming a key marker for those who bike and train using power meters. Specific attributes of our bike allow for very consistent and accurate measurement of FTP compared to “field testing” on a power meter equipped bike or by using formulas to estimate power based on speed, elevation, rider weight etc.
For those of you that wish to see the upper limits of your Power Output. You will receive a complete profile of your watts vs. heart rate. This test will start at an “Easy” effort level and proceeds to higher effort levels. The test ends at the point where you can not physically continue. Results include, your maximum attained Watts and time at that Watt level.
